Child's Play

In case you're not familiar with Child's Play, it's an annual charity run by Penny Arcade, a popular webcomic. They raise both money and toy donations, done via direct donations, Amazon wishlists, and an annual charity dinner, for children's hospitals. I was pleased to notice that Oakland Children's Hospital is on the list of hospitals providing wish lists.

So far they're up to $420,000 in donations. The amount of beurocratic overhead dragging the figure down is next to nil as well, since this is all being done by a couple of shmucks who live in WA playing videogames all day. Mad props yo, mad props.

UPDATE/CLARIFICATION: That is, in fact, irony. My respect for Gabe and Tycho (they have real names, Jike and Merry or something) runs deep, for a myriad of various reasons.
